St. Rita Catholic Parish is a diverse and welcoming community of faith dedicated to forming disciples of the Good News of Jesus Christ through Word, Sacrament, and Service. In communion with the teachings of the Catholic Church and in partnership with Notre Dame Seminary, St. Rita’s disciples witness to their personal faith as a community on mission, extending God’s presence to our New Orleans neighborhoods. We become "perfect as the Heavenly Father is perfect" when we "test the genuineness of our love" by showing concern for others - especially by loving our enemies. We love them with the love that we receive from Jesus, who "for your sake became poor although he was rich, so that by his poverty you might become rich." In Christ we are rich, enough to love our enemies.
