St. Rita Catholic Parish is a diverse and welcoming community of faith dedicated to forming disciples of the Good News of Jesus Christ through Word, Sacrament, and Service. In communion with the teachings of the Catholic Church and in partnership with Notre Dame Seminary, St. Rita’s disciples witness to their personal faith as a community on mission, extending God’s presence to our New Orleans neighborhoods. Our Lord instructs us, "Store up treasures in heaven. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be." Saint Paul lists his treasures: "Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked..." With Paul, we "will boast of the things that show my weakness," to show that our treasure is God's strength, not our own.
